Hi fren
ReplyDeleteso nice the camp site!
i from Segamat...can u tell me how to get up to the camp site by car? which entrance?thanks
Hi Magna Riders,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
If you wanna get up to the campsite by car, you need to enter from the 'Gate B'. If you drive from Segamat, you will reach the Gate A than further down to Gate B. Beside the Gate B are all the palm oil tree....after about 30 minutes ride through the palm oil estate, you reach the Ranger office. Register yourself and drive towards the 'campsite' - almost the peak of the mountain....enjoy the fresh over there!!
Thanks.

1. can we camp at Ledang's peak?
2. is guide required?
we would appreciate if you can give the number of the contact person.

Hi Anonymous@12:24pm,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit.
Your answer :-
1) Yes, you can camp on the peak. This is normal practice for the hikers.
2) Yes, you need a ranger (for every 10 peoples) to guide you guys up & down.

Hi poksie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit.
From S'pore to M. Ophir as below :-
By Bus
You can take a bus from Larkin Bus Station, Johor Bahru to Segamat. The journey will take about 3 hours.
The 4 express bus companies that will take you from Johor Bahru to Segamat are as follows:
* Transnasional
* Merdu Express
* Damai Express
* Cepat Express
The buses will depart from Larkin Bus Station every 30 minutes. The first bus departs at 8.00am.
From Segamat, you have to take a public bus (South West Bus) to Sagil. It takes 50 minutes to 1 hour to reach Sagil. The bus departs from Segamat bus station every half an hour. Gunung Ledang is 1km from the main road in Sagil.
By Rail
Take a KTM commuter train from Sentral Station, KL or Johor and alight at the Segamat train station. Follow by bus.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteDo you know about the Asahan trail on Ophir? Is it open as well? Or it was never closed?
Hi Jo,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit.
I'm not sure about the Asahan trail. Sorry! Anyway, I will try my best to get it for you...
Hi, I read recently that Ledang is closed to overnight camping again. Is it true? And climbs are cancelled due to bad weather till Feb.
